Temazcal: For hundreds of years , this beautiful expression of culture and ceremonial ritual has been practiced by the indigenous people of Mexico. This purifying steam bath is based on the traditional healing methods used by the Mayans and is performed to purify the physical, emotional and spiritual aspects of the body. The Temazcal is a small domed structure built to hold in the heat of hot stones and the steam produced by water infused with herbs and aromatherapy herbs.
